One of the most common questions I hear from marketers new to social media is, ‘Can I make money on Facebook?’ It’s a good question, but a little misguided.

To start with, the goal of marketing on Facebook shouldn’t necessarily be to make money directly, but to build your brand and to build trust.

Some marketers are out there chasing prospects who have no idea who they are. Does that make sense to you? You will be able to sponsor people from Facebook eventually, but first you’ll need to learn how to ask the right questions. This will build a relationship, this will move people to trust you.. just do it the right way.

To set your profit on auto-pilot, use a sales funnel. Take the goodwill you generate through Facebook and build a list of subscribers.

Think of it this way. Imagine that you have a ton of product, maybe healthy supplements or even silver and gold. Now, imagine having all that,.. not having advertised.. and having no storefront.

Sure, people will be interested in your healthy stuff, your silver and gold too, but what happens when they want to buy – if not at your store?

A good funnel should have seamless function with a clear end goal, your brand (not your company) first,.. then, enrollment with you in your Network Marketing company.

Generating Money through Leads on Facebook

When you get that funnel in place and have a clear route for someone to follow, that’s when you can start turning the traffic into real income. That’s when you can start building your fortune on Facebook.

Here’s how it works. Instead of posting comments on your Facebook profile or page saying “buy this product”, you can offer a free report or mention your most recent and useful blog post. Most importantly, always be genuine, interact with people as much as possible, and don’t ever spam the news feed or people’s wall.

Most Facebook users are nowhere near the ‘buy something’ frame of mind when they’re looking through their friends and family’s posts. However, once off Facebook, they usually won’t be offended if there’s an opportunity to purchase your material or product, agree?
